Just a simple walk cycle to get a hang of animating in 3ds Max. After using it for a while, I could see there are both pros and cons in Max's graph editor comparing to Maya's. I still preferred Maya's graph editor though, but Max's also fun to play with.
One thing I don't understand is why we have to do it the hard way just to copy a key frame to another object....
I dedicated this blog for my works showcase since I still don't have my own website....:D Hope you enjoy!

Dialogue Blocking.....now in ToonShade!!!
The 2 person dialogue assignment from Character Animation 3 class. It's just a blocking state right now, can't move on until my blocking is solid enough.
I tried to apply toon shader to my scene, which I always want to do, and here's how it looks like. kinda like it this way :D

Automated Spider Rig!!
This was my final project in Scripting class, a rigging script for a spider(or any multiple legs creature). The script will rig the existing joint structure, giving FK/IK system plus automatic walk cycle with speed control. All by python
I used the script to do all rigging process. The automatic walk cycle is controlled by Maya "Expression", which I struggled so much since I had to deal with some maths, Trigonometry for the most part of it.
Sorry for all 'nurbs primitive' control objects, didn't wanna waste my time on designing the shape.
Thanks my teacher, Micheal Malione, for a great class and for showing me the awesomeness of scripting.
p.s. I didn't expect Bandicam to record my music from window media player, but don't want to redo it again, so.....

Blocking: 3 attack combos!!
A blocking state of 3 chains attack, i'll just break it down to 2 stacks later. The arms swing need some works to get rid of that flaw between 2nd and 3rd attack.

1st Link!
I connect the idle state and first attack via AfterEffect, still don't know how to work with Motion Builder. I don't know exactly if I need to make my character move back to the origin or not.
The next work should be 2nd and 3rd attack then connect them for 2 and 3 attack combos, that must be fun!!

Ready to animate!!!

Just finished rigging this guy. Included FK/IK arms and legs the switcher, Hybrid FK/stretchy IK spine, but no facial controls for now, and might not be in the future coz he gonna wear the helmet anyway.
Next week I'll give him a simple walk cycle to see how his deformation working, then proceed to some action sequences.....or I might rig his armor first, then go all the way through the animation later.

Game animation approach!!
Since I decided to lean more toward game animation, from now on, I'll begin working on my project for game character animation and anything particular.
Motion Builder is another thing I have to familiar with in order to work with game animation, plus motion capture as an optional.
This bad boy is the first character I'll work with:

got it from www3dfrom.com, thanks to Xi for translated and gave me the link to that website. Hope I could finished the rigging part soon, it won't be too hard since most of his body are rigid.

Jump!
Full body jump from P-Zero.
I shifted the camera to make it looks more interesting, and someone told me that last pose looks like an old lady having a back pain instead of grabbing her gun and ready to roll, gotta fix that later.
Is that Lara Croft?...nahh

WIP: Don't do it!!!
A lip-sync animation, an audio clip from....I can't remember. The sound is a bit off, it's just a playblast anyway. I'm still working on his arms and adjusting the overall timing.
And that guy is my custom Norman Mod with skin wrapped, nice jacket :D
